President William Ruto his new deputy Prof Kithure Kindiki, Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have for the first time shared the same platform since their perceived fallout after Gachagua's impeachment. The leaders met on Saturday during the Episcopal ordination and installation of Rt. Rev. Peter Kimani as Bishop of Embu Diocese. Photos seen by Citizen Digital captured President Ruto, his deputy and Uhuru in the same front row. Gachagua was seen seated among other leaders and next to Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba. Barely a month after Gachagua was impeached, Ruto and his deputy have not been seen in the same event as the former. Following his ouster, Gachagua has been sharp in criticising the current regime while at the same time mounting support in his Mount Kenya backyard. The consecration also comes a day after the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a strongly worded statement accusing the government of failing to fulfil its promises and entrenching a culture of lies and corruption.
