President William Ruto has maintained that he will not spare any politician from spreading politics of ethnicity and disunity.

Speaking at a roadside rally in Kisumu on Monday, President Ruto said that his government will not cower from taking action against leaders who are bent on dividing Kenyans.

"I said that we will unite Kenya to become one. Those spreading ethnicity, hate and disunity will go home," Ruto noted.

While emphasizing the need to create a broad-based government, President Ruto said that the reforms made with his new cabinet seek to streamline most sectors to effectively serve Kenyans.

He urged more Kenyans to enroll to the Social Health Authority (SHA) under his ambitious Universal Health Coverage (UHC) programme, which he has remained positive that will iron out challenges in the health sector.

Calls for discouraging ethnicity come after President Ruto's bitter split with Rigathi Gachagua who was impeached on several grounds among them spreading tribalism.

Gachagua was accused of staging the Mt. Kenya region against other regions in the nation and was further called out for allegedly favouring people from the region in disbursing services from the national government.

Gachagua was replaced by Kithure Kindiki.
