His Excellency Sospeter Ojaamong had a very fruitful and satisfactory week with several high level delegations and senior Government officials paying him a courtesy call to discuss various issues of national importance.

Sunday (8/04/2018):
Hon. Eugene Wamalwa (Cabinet Secretary for Devolution & ASAL) joined the Governor at Bumala ‘B’ Catholic Church in Butula Sub-County for a fundraising to help complete the House of God.

Monday (09/04/2018):
The following day; The Governor dispatched an RRI team to Matayos Drug Store, Bumala ‘A’ and ‘B’ Health Centers and Khunyangu Level 4 Hospital to check on the status of Medical Supplies to the facilities. The team found out that essential drugs had been delivered to the facilities except for a few which were out of stock with requisitions already raised.

Tuesday (10/04/2018):
H. E. The Governor held strategic meetings with several Heads of Departments and senior officials in his Government. He ended the day with a meeting with Board Members of Busia County Water Services & Sewerage Company (BUWASCO) and Kenya Integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (KIWASH) to finalize on the ongoing provision of clean drinking water to the people of Busia County.

Wednesday (11/04/2018):
As the Governor was serving members of the public in his office, the RRI team made an impromptu visit to Busembe Dispensary in Samia Sub-County to confirm delivery of Essential Drugs to the facility. Several members of the public were present to witness the delivery.

Thursday (12/04/2018):
His Excellency The Governor spent the entire day serving members of the public in the office until late in the evening. He also received briefs on Development Programmes and activities from all the seven Sub-counties.

Friday (13/04/2018):
Governor Ojaamong started the day by holding a one hour long meeting with a team from the National Governmentled by Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Roads & Transport Hon. Chris Obure who had paid him a courtesy call in his office in Busia. Other members of the delegation included Hon. Ababu Namwamba (CAS for Foreign Affairs), Regional Directors of Kenya National Highways Authority (KenHa) and Kenya Rural & Urban Roads Authority (KURRA) among others. They were on an inspection tour of Busia-Malaba Road, Malaba-Lwakhakha road and Sigiri Bridge.

Thereafter, The Governor joined a meeting of more than two thousand Primary Schools Head Teachers at Farm View Hotel in Busia town where he gave the Closing Remarks.

Finally, Governor Ojaamong went to Busia ATC to give Closing Speech after an Induction Training for his Cabinet and Chief Officers. He later on issued Certificates to the 10 CECs, 16 Chief Officers, County Secretary and Chairperson of the County Public Service Board who had been trained on Procurement, Governance and Human Resource Management etc by KNEC certified trainers from Tuesday. In his speech, the Governor reminded the Senior Officers that they now have delegated authority from him to serve the people of Busia County.

In order to improve service delivery, The Governor has also asked the County Secretary to redeploy Ward Administrators to various stations across the County.
H. E. Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong remains committed to leaving a lasting positive Legacy in Busia County.
