A bus has plunged into a river in Narok, killing at least 19 people, County Commissioner George Natembeya said.
The bus belonging to Daima Connection Sacco was travelling to Nairobi from Kendu Bay when it fell into river Siyiapei along the Narok-Maai Mahiu road on Tuesday afternoon.
Forty six people are admitted to hospitals with injuries.
Mr Natembeya said the bus driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle as he avoided to ram into an oncoming lorry.
Rescue teams including the Kenya Red Cross are at the scene.
