World War Tourism in Kenya

Tourism players in Taita Taveta now want a slice of battlefield tourism to add numbers into the region. Battlefield tourism is a recreational travel to active or former war zones for purposes of sightseeing or historical study. Hoteliers and wildlife stakeholders in Taita Taveta have introduced an African soldiers plaque which aims to honour and acknowledge the fallen unsung African Heroes. According to stakeholders in Taita Taveta, the plaque based in Mwashoti Area in Bura, Mwatate will also help boost tourism in the area as it will be a global attraction not only to locals but to the international community as well.
