Security on alert ahead of Uhuru's visit to Kisumu

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to travel to Kisumu Friday for the burial of the teachers’ union boss David Okuta.
Also expected to attend the ceremony is former prime minister Raila Odinga.
The Kenya National Union of Teacher’s (Knut) secretary-general died a fortnight ago, and will be buried in Nyando, Kisumu County. He was 61.
Security has been heightened at the Kisumu International Airport as the provincial administration await the arrival of President Kenyatta and his entourage.
