National Vision Party leader Nicholas Biwott is confident President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta will unite all Kenyans.
"There is no doubt that you will bring continuity and reconciliation and unity of all Kenyans; which will in turn bring about peace, stability and prosperity," Mr Biwott said in a congratulatory message to Mr Kenyatta on Thursday.
In a statement, Mr Biwott congratulated Mr Kenyatta for being elected Kenya’s fourth President.
“May the Almighty God give you strength and wisdom to shoulder this heavy responsibility. You have our full support and prayer,” Mr Biwott said.
Mr Biwott said Mr Kenyatta's election showed the trust Kenyans had placed on him.
He paid tribute to deputy-President elect William Ruto.
"Your stand for peace and prosperity in this country resonated very well. I am confident together with the President you will unite this nation and bring about peace and prosperity needed for stable and prosperous Kenya," Mr Biwott said.
African Inland Church Bishop Silas Yego also praised Mr Kenyatta and Mr Ruto for their victory and called on Kenyans to support them.
Bishop Yego said the unity of Kenyans was crucial for development.
