Nairobi, Kenya: The Governor for Nairobi County, Evans Kidero has released the list of nominees to his cabinet.
Here are their profiles:
Finance and Economic planning
Gregory Mwakanongo- Holds a masters degree in Finance from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
He
is a certified public Accountant (K) and boasts of over 15 years
working experience in finance as assistant Analyst at Cadbury Kenya,
Chief Accountant at P and O Nedloyd East Africa Limited, Regional
controller Nestle Equatorial African Region limited and presently as
Controller of finance and Shared Services at AG group International.
Lands, Housing and Physical Planning
Tom Odongo: Holds a Masters degree in Urban Planning from Oxford Brookes University.
Has over 33 years accrued work experience as Assistant Direct of City Planning , Director City Planning and Town Clerk.
Trade, Industrialization, co-operative Development and Tourism
Anna Othoro:
Holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from United States
International University (USIU) and Bachelors of Sociology and
Philosophy from the University of Nairobi.
Has 17 years of
experience in Sale and Marketing, having previously worked art
GlaxoSmithKline (Kenya and Middle East) and currently managing Director
Quintessentially Kenya.
Agriculture, Livestock Development and Fisheries.
Anne Lokidor: Holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from UON and a Bachelor of Science from the same institution.
She has several years of experience in Sales and Marketing, having
worked at Sera Software East Africa and National Cereals and Produce
Board.
Public Service Management
Mercy Kamau:
Holds a Masters Degree in International Relations from UON and a
Bachelors of Law from the same institution, a post-graduate diploma from
the Kenya School of Law, certified on Women empowerment from Georgia
University.
She is a Certified Public Secretary and a member of the Law Society of Kenya as well as East African Law Society
She
has 21 years of experience having practised Law in several
institutions, a company secretary in a number of banks and presently in
private legal practise.
Public Works, Roads and Transport
Erick Mokua: Holds a masters degree in Strategic Management from USIU and a bachelor of commerce from Shivaji University .
Mokua
has many years experience in the banking sector, having worked at CFC
Bank Southern Credit Bank cooperation and as a senior manager
–cooperation division-Kenya Commercial Bank.
Water, Energy, Forestry, Environment and Natural Resources
John Gakuo: Holds a bachelor’s degree in Governance and
Sociology from UON. Has also undertaken various courses in Singapore,
Harvard, John Kennedy and Eastern and Southern Institute.
Has over 37 years experience in administrative positions, having
served as a District officer, District Commissioner and Town Clerk.
Information, Communication and E-Government
Mohammed Abdullahi: holds a bachelor of commerce
degree from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a diploma in Human
Resource Management from Railways Training Institute.
He is a senior executive at First Community Bank.
Education, Youth Affairs, Culture, Children and Social Service
John Wamalwa: Holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Kenyatta University.
Has worked as Group Credit controller at Keno/Kobil and Director of Strategic Partnerships at Silverstone Group of Companies.
Health Services
Dr Timothy Kigondu:
Holds a Masters in International Medicine from London University and
Respiratory medicine from New York Univerdity. Has a Bachelor of
Medicine degree from UON.
He has 18 years of experience as a
medical doctor and as a director of Kenya Medical Training College and
Kenyatta National Hospital.
